#ET1: Beijing - Xi’an - Kunming - Lijiang - Dali - Chongqing - Yangtze River Cruise - Shanghai - Guilin/Yangshuo (23 - 24 day tour)
This extraordinary tour takes you to almost all of the major scenic areas in China, for an unforgettable trip around this amazing country. Relax and enjoy yourself on this extended tour of some of the world’s most incredible sights and beautiful scenery.
Day 1: Pickup at the Beijing airport hotel by private vehicle, then visit Tian'anmen Square/Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Acrobatics or Kung Fu or Beijing Opera Show, then transport back to your hotel.
Day 2: Pickup at your hotel by private vehicle for a trip to the Juyongguan section of the Great Wall, the Sacred Way of the Ming Tombs and one of the Ming Tombs, transport in the evening back to your hotel.
Days 3-5: We will help you check out of your hotel in the morning and take you to the airport for your morning flight to Xi'an. Your English-speaking tour guide will pick you up at the airport to take you to check into the 4-star Royal Garden Xi'an. Over your three days in Xi'an, you will have the opportunity to visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the Terracotta Warriors, the Xi'an Provincial History Museum, the Xi'an City Wall, the Grand Mosque, the Banpo Neolithic Village and other interesting sites.
Days 6-8 Your tour guide will help you check out of your hotel for the flight to Kunming, where you will be met by your English-speaking tour guide for a tour of the Stone Forest, then spend the night in Kunming. The next morning travel on to the fantastic travel destinations of Dali and Lijiang to take in the spectacular scenery and minority culture of this unique area of China.
Days 9-13: Your English-speaking tour guide will help you check out of your hotel and take you to the airport for your flight to Chongqing, where you will have a day or two to visit the sites of Chongqing before boarding the 5-star cruise down the Yangtze River for 3 nights and 4 days to see the Three Gorges and the Three Gorges Dam.
Day 13: Upon arrival in Yichang you will have the chance to tour the Three Gorges Dam, then you will be transported to the Yichang airport for your flight to Shanghai, where you will be greeted by your English-speaking tour guide and get checked in to your 4-star hotel. You can either start sightseeing in Shanghai with your tour guide, or rest up and start your city tour of Shanghai the next day.
Day 14: Shanghai City Tour. We will pick you up at your Shanghai hotel and begin your day with a visit to the Shanghai Museum, then a visit to the Yuyuan Garden and the Cheng Huang Miao Bazaar. We will treat you to a nice lunch of the local Shanghai cuisine. After lunch, we will take you to visit the former French concession area and take a drive to The Bund, then it's a river cruise on the Huangpu River for a river-point view of Shanghai. Afterwards, take a stroll on Nanjing Road, the world-famous shopping street in Shanghai lined with hundreds of shops of every variety. That evening we will take you back to your hotel.
Day 15: Shanghai - Suzhou - Zhouzhuang Water Village Tour - We will pick you up around 8 or 8:30 a.m. at your hotel and transport you to Suzhou by car. Your first visit will be to the fantastically ornate "Master of the Nets Garden", which may be the pinnacle achievement of classical Chinese gardens. Afterwards, it is on to the Hanshan Temple, first built in the Liang Dynasty (502 - 557 A.D.) Then you will visit Tiger Hill and the oldest pagoda in Suzhou (built during the Northern Song Dynasty (959 - 961 A.D.) at the ancient Yunyan Temple, which serves as a landmark for the city at the top of the hill. We will treat to a nice lunch of the local Suzhou cuisine at a local restaurant, then after lunch, we will take you to the intriguing and nearby Zhouzhuang Water Village, which is often referred to as a smaller Chinese version of Venice. You will have the remainder of the afternoon for exploring the historical village on foot or by gondola where you can see the city's famous "Double Bridge". We will take you back to your hotel around 5 p.m.

Day 16: We'll help you check out of your hotel for your morning flight to Guilin, where you'll take the Lijiang River cruise to Yangshuo and see some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. In Yangshuo, your English-speaking tour guide will help you get checked into your 4-star hotel.
Days 17-18: Exploring Yangshuo County. Many options here - you can explore this incredibly beautiful area by bike, or your tour guide can take you around to see the various scenic spots.
Day 19: More time to explore Yangshuo, then your tour guide will take you by private van back to Guilin and help you check in to your 4-star hotel.
Day 20: Your tour guide will pick you up in the morning and help you check out of your hotel for a day of touring Guilin, including Elephant Trunk Hill, Fubo Hill and the Reed Flute Cave before catching your next flight, this time to Hong Kong where your tour guide will help you check in to your 4-star hotel.
Day 21-22: Explore the sights of Hong Kong on your own, at your leisure tour guide.
