#DT11: Simatai Great Wall (full day of exploring along the Great Wall) BOOK NOW!
 Simatai is one of the Great Wall’s most spectacular locations, with the Wall running along steep ridges that will have you wondering how they ever built the thing in the first place. Great views of ancient watchtowers and the surrounding countryside, but be prepared for a workout as some of the climbing is very steep and physically demanding. Vendors along the higher points of the Wall sell cold water and the coldest cans of beer you’ll ever find during the summer, well worth the 5 RMB per can (don’t forget to bargain.) There is also a cable car that takes you part of the way up to the Wall (60 RMB) and a “zipline” that can give you a thrilling ride hanging from a wire and flying over the reservoir back to the base point.
