 Simatai is one of the Great Wall’s most spectacular locations, with the Wall running along steep ridges that will have you wondering how they ever built the thing in the first place. Great views of ancient watchtowers and the surrounding countryside, but be prepared for a workout as some of the climbing is very steep and physically demanding.
