Even for travelers with just one extra day, we can still get you to see the world-famous Terracotta Warriors (aka Terracotta Army or Terracotta Soldiers) with our one-day Shanghai Xian Terracotta Warriors tour.

Day 1: Your flight will depart Shanghai at around 8 a.m. to arrive in Xian around 10 a.m., where your personal English-speaking tour guide will greet you at the airport to escort you to your private car with a professional driver. You will have plenty of time to see the Terracotta Army as well as the ancient Big Wild Goose Pagoda or the Xian city wall (your choice of which to see), each with its own great views over Xian. Beijing Shanghai Tour Master of the Nets Garden Suzhou ChinaThe 2,500-year old city of Suzhou is within an easy drive of Shanghai, situated on the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The beautiful and historic city’s nine classical Chinese gardens are considered to be masterpieces and as such are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Suzhou is also famous for its stone bridges and pagodas in addition to its numerous beautiful gardens. The entire city was designated by the Chinese government as one of only four cities in China where the preservation of cultural and historical heritage has been labeled as a priority, and after visiting the city you will easily understand why it was chosen for special protection.


Beijing Shanghai Tour Zhouzhuang Water Village China

For this tour, we will pick you up around 8 or 8:30 a.m. at your hotel and transport you to Suzhou by car. Your first visit will be to the fantastically ornate “Master of the Nets Garden”, which may be the pinnacle achievement of classical Chinese gardens. Afterwards, it is on to the Hanshan Temple, first built in the Liang Dynasty (502 - 557 A.D.) Then you will visit Tiger Hill and the oldest pagoda in Suzhou (built during the Northern Song Dynasty (959 - 961 A.D.) at the ancient Yunyan Temple, which serves as a landmark for the city at the top of the hill. We will treat you to a nice lunch of the local Suzhou cuisine at a local restaurant, then after lunch, we will take you to the intriguing and nearby  Zhouzhuang Water Village, which is often referred to as a smaller Chinese version of Venice (as are Suzhou and many of the other nearby water villages.) You will have the remainder of the afternoon for exploring the historical village on foot or by gondola where you can see the city’s famous “Double Bridge”. As the capital of Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou is located 112 miles (180 km) southwest of Shanghai. Forbidden City Tour Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Your English-speaking tour guide will greet you as you come out of Chinese customs at the Beijing airport to transfer you and help you check in to your hotel. You will have the rest of this day to relax and recover from your trip to China.

Day 2: Tiananmen Square - Forbidden City - Temple of Heaven - Lama Temple - Beijing Zoo Panda House
We will get an early 8 a.m. start to help you make the most of your time in Beijing with a busy schedule today. First you will have the opportunity to visit Tian’anmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven before we treat you to a nice lunch of local Beijing cuisine. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to visit Yonghegong (the Lama Temple) and the Panda House of the Beijing Zoo. Day 3: Rickshaw Hutong Tour – The Summer Palace
8 a.m. pickup at your hotel for a tour of Beijing’s ancient alleyways (hutongs) by rickshaw where you will see where Beijing residents have lived for centuries and have tea with a local hutong family in their home; then visit the Drum and Bell Towers. After lunch, we will take you to visit the historic Summer Palace, then take you out for the world-famous Beijing Duck dinner and a truly impressive Acrobatics Show before taking you back to your hotel. Mutianyu Great Wall Tour Day 4:  The Sacred Way of the Ming Tombs - Ming Tombs – Mutianyu Great Wall of China – Evening Flight to Xi’an
8 or 8:30 a.m. pickup at your hotel for a visit to the Sacred Way and one of the Ming Tombs, then a visit to a spectacular section of the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu. There is also an optional cable car ride up for the less physically fit and a toboggan ride down for the more adventurous. Afterwards we will take you on to the Beijing airport for your evening flight to Xi’an, where your English-speaking tour guide will greet you at the airport and help you check into your Xi’an hotel for the evening. Day 5: Big Wild Goose Pagoda - Terracotta Warriors Terracotta Army Tour
Your personal English-speaking tour guide will pick you up at your hotel for a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the morning and then a nice lunch of the local Xi’an cuisine. After lunch, we will take you to see the unforgettable and world-famous Terracotta Warriors where you will enjoy one of the world’s greatest treasures that have stood watch over the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang for 2,200 years. Afterwards, you tour guide will transfer you to your Xi’an hotel and help you check in for the night.

Day 6: Xi’an City Wall – Afternoon Flight to Chongqing – Board Yangtze River Cruise
Your English-speaking tour guide will pick you up and help you check out of your Xi’an hotel in the morning to explore the ancient Xi’an city wall, then treat you to lunch before taking you on to the Xi’an airport in time for your 1 p.m. flight to Chongqing. At the Chongqing airport, your personal English-speaking tour guide will pick you up by private vehicle for a tour of Goose Neck Park, then enjoy a traditional Chongqing hotpot dinner before boarding your cruise ship at around 7 p.m.
