#MDT7: 11 Days, 10 Nights Beijing - Xian - Chongqing - Yangtze River Cruise - Shanghai
 Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Your English-speaking tour guide will greet you as you come out of Chinese customs at the Beijing airport to transfer you and help you check in to your hotel. You will have the rest of this day to relax and recover from your trip to China.
Day 2: Tiananmen Square - Forbidden City - Temple of Heaven - Lama Temple - Beijing Zoo Panda House
We will get an early 8 a.m. start to help you make the most of your time in Beijing with a busy schedule today. First you will have the opportunity to visit Tian’anmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven before we treat you to a nice lunch of local Beijing cuisine. After lunch, you will have the opportunity to visit Yonghegong (the Lama Temple) and the Panda House of the Beijing Zoo. That evening, enjoy the Legend of Kung Fu Show and a traditional Chinese hotpot dinner before we taking you back to your hotel for the night. (Breakfast at your hotel, lunch and dinner are included.)
Day 3: Rickshaw Hutong Tour – The Summer Palace
8 a.m. pickup at your hotel for a tour of Beijing’s ancient alleyways (hutongs) by rickshaw where you will see where Beijing residents have lived for centuries and have tea with a local hutong family in their home; then visit the Drum and Bell Towers. After lunch, we will take you to visit the historic Summer Palace, then take you out for the world-famous Beijing Duck dinner and a truly impressive Acrobatics Show before taking you back to your hotel. (Breakfast at your hotel, lunch and dinner are included.)
 Day 4: The Sacred Way of the Ming Tombs - Ming Tombs – Mutianyu Great Wall of China – Evening Flight to Xi’an
8 or 8:30 a.m. pickup at your hotel for a visit to the Sacred Way and one of the Ming Tombs, then a visit to a spectacular section of the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu. There is also an optional cable car ride up for the less physically fit and a toboggan ride down for the more adventurous. Afterwards we will take you on to the Beijing airport for your evening flight to Xi’an, where your English-speaking tour guide will greet you at the airport and help you check into your Xi’an hotel for the evening. (Breakfast and lunch are included.)
Day 5: Big Wild Goose Pagoda - Terracotta Warriors 
Your personal English-speaking tour guide will pick you up at your hotel for a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda in the morning and then a nice lunch of the local Xi’an cuisine. After lunch, we will take you to see the unforgettable and world-famous Terracotta Warriors where you will enjoy one of the world’s greatest treasures that have stood watch over the tomb of Emperor Qin Shi Huang for 2,200 years. Afterwards, you tour guide will transfer you to your Xi’an hotel and help you check in for the night.
Day 6: Xi’an City Wall – Afternoon Flight to Chongqing – Board Yangtze River Cruise
Your English-speaking tour guide will pick you up and help you check out of your Xi’an hotel in the morning to explore the ancient Xi’an city wall, then treat you to lunch before taking you on to the Xi’an airport in time for your 1 p.m. flight to Chongqing. At the Chongqing airport, your personal English-speaking tour guide will pick you up by private vehicle for a tour of Goose Neck Park, then enjoy a traditional Chongqing hotpot dinner before boarding your cruise ship at around 7 p.m.
 Day 7: Yangtze River Cruise - Shore Excursions
Day 8: Yangtze River Cruise - Shore Excursions
Day 9: Yangtze River Cruise - 3 Gorges Dam - Flight to Shanghai
Your cruise ship will arrive in Yichang in the afternoon, and shortly before your arrival you will have the opportunity to tour the massive and impressive Three Gorges Dam - the largest hydro-electric project in the world - before your evening flight from Yichang to Shanghai. Your English-speaking tour guide will pick you up at the airport to transport you to your hotel in Shanghai.
Day 10: Shanghai City Tour - Shanghai Museum - Yuyuan Garden - Cheng Huang Miao Bazaar – Former French Concession Area – The Bund – Nanjing Road – Evening Huangpu River Cruise
Your personal English-speaking tour guide will pick you up by private van for your full-day tour of the main sites in Shanghai. (Breakfast and lunch are included.)
Day 11: Depart Shanghai
Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel to transfer you to the Shanghai airport in time for your departing flight.

You will also be treated to a nice local lunch before we take you back to your Shanghai in the evening. It is also possible to stay overnight here for an extra charge. We will pick you up early at your hotel in Shanghai for the two-hour drive by private vehicle to Hangzhou. You will have a morning boat ride on the beautiful West Lake, then we will treat you to a local lunch of Hangzhou cuisine. After lunch, visit the Lingyin Temple, including the Feilai Feng Grottoes, Feilai Peak, the Liuhe (Six Harmonies) Pagoda and a tea plantation to see where “all the tea in China” (ok, not really all of it) actually comes from. We will have you back at your hotel in Shanghai in time for dinner, or you can stay over in Hangzhou for an extra charge and enjoy this beautiful city for an extra day.
