Terracotta Army Tours
The 2,200-year old Terracotta Army of the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang, is located just outside of Xian in central China’s Shaanxi province, and it truly is one of the world’s most impressive archeological treasures. Each terracotta soldier was created with different facial features so that each one is unique from all of the others, an incredible feat considering the many thousands of these that exist at the site. If you have an extra day or two to spare during your time in China, we can set you up with a one-day Xian tour from most cities inside China, including our one-day Beijing - Xian tour, which is one of our most popular tours. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is well worth a one or two-day visit to Xian, which was the ancient capital of China and one of the largest and most important cities in the world during the days of the Silk Road. The tours below are sample tours for your reference - you can book on of these tours for any date, or we can tailor a tour to fit your schedule and what you want to see while you are in China. For your customized Xian tour, Beijing tour or an entire China vacation, please contact us and we can put together a proposed itinerary and price quotation for you with no obligation. We can also work with large groups, schools and organizations to create a personalized tour schedule that will create memories that will last a lifetime. All of our tours are private tours - no groups to join, no overcrowded buses to worry about - just you and your chosen traveling companions will accompany you on your tour.

#XT2: 1 Day Xian Terracotta Army - Hanyang Tombs Tour
Day 1: Xian Airport or Train Station Pickup - Terracotta Warriors - Hanyang Tombs
This tour is the same as the #XT1 tour above but it includes a trip to see the “other” tombs near Xian - the 2,100-year old Hanyang Tombs, instead of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Sha’anxi Museum or Xian City Wall. The Hanyang Tombs were built in 153 B.C. making them nearly as old as the more famous Terracotta Warriors. They were constructed for Liu Qi, Emperor Jingdi of the Han Dynasty (188 - 141 B.C.) and they are also known as Hanyangling or the Hanyang Mausoleum. A specially constructed glass floor allows viewing of the pits below, and the entire museum gives an excellent presentation of the history of the tombs. Open only since 2006, the Hanyang Tombs site is Xian’s most underrated and unappreciated historical treasure.
Cost: 1 person: 1545 CNY / US$253; 2 - 5 people: 945 CNY / US$155 per person; 6 - 9 people: 845 CNY / US$139 per person; 10+ people: 728 CNY / US$119 per person
