The Xingang Port (also known as Tianjin Port, the Port of Tianjin or Dongjiang Port) is one of the busiest ports in China, especially for the numerous cruise lines that dock there all year long. The actual old Xingang Port has closed with international cruises moving to the new Dongjiang Port, but the cruise lines still often refer to the port of call in Tianjin as Xingang Port. The city of Tianjin, where the Xingang Port is located, is just 90 miles (120 km) southeast of Beijing and it takes around 2 1/2 hours by car to arrive in the city of Beijing or at least 3 hours to the Beijing Capital International Airport.  Even with just a few hours to spare from your cruise ship at the Tianjin port, we can take you to a fantastic section of the Great Wall of China at Huangyaguan (Yellow Cliff Pass) that most visitors to Beijing never see. This beautiful section of the Great Wall is much less crowded than those nearer Beijing, and it has unique features that cannot be found at its more heavily visited counterparts, such as both square and round watchtowers and an interesting combination of both natural stone and the more traditional gray brick used in other parts of the Great Wall built during the Ming Dynasty. For this tour, your personal English-speaking tour guide will pick you up by private vehicle with a professional driver at 8 or 8:30 a.m. as your disembark from your cruise ship to take you for a full-day visit to the Great Wall of China at Huangyaguan.
