Yangtze River Cruises
 The Yangtze River is the longest river in Asia and the third longest river in the world. The Three Gorges Dam on the Yangtze is the largest hydroelectric dam in the world and must be seen to be believed. There are many companies that offer Yangtze River cruises, but we recommend the 5-star Victoria Cruises, which are the only American-managed cruises on the Yangtze River. There are also 5-star Chinese cruises that are equally nice and much more affordable. Day 3: Sailing through the Qutang and Wu Gorges, then either the Daning River Small Gorges or the Shennong River excursion on a smaller boat. Also passing through the Three Gorges Dam lock system.
Day 4: 8:00 a.m. arrival at Yang Jia Wang, with a morning land visit to the Three Gorges Dam site. Noon arrival at Yichang to end the cruise.

Day 1: 10 a.m. departure from Chongqing, afternoon shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost Village, Shibaozi or Wanzhou (depends on river conditions)
Day 2: Morning excursion in a smaller boat to either the Daning River Small Gorges or the Shennong River. Evening passing through the Three Gorges Dam lock system.
Day 3: Morning land visit to the Three Gorges Dam site, then re-boarding the ship at the Yichang dock.
Day 4: Afternoon shore excursion to the city of Wuhan with a visit to the Hubei Provincial Museum
Day 5: Full-day shore excursion to the legendary Huangshan Yellow Mountain (a visit to Jiuhuanshan, the “Mountain of the 9 Lotuses” may be substituted if weather conditions do not permit a visit to Huangshan)
Day 6: Full-day tour of the historic ancient capital of Nanjing, including the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and a Qing dynasty-style bazaar surrounding a Confucian temple, 9 p.m. re-board the ship for the journey to Shanghai
