A very early start at 7 a.m. as it is a 3-hour drive to these sections of the Great Wall. You’ll also see the Temple of Mengjiangnu, built to honor the legend of a young woman whom supposedly traveled from Shanxi province to bring warm clothes to her husband that was helping to build the Great Wall. Upon arrival she learned that he had died, and her cries of sadness supposedly collapsed a huge section of the Great Wall before she threw herself into the sea. Or something like that.
